Another one back from the dead! Looks like a lot of work but I am sure this will be fantastic. The work on those struts is very impressive.

Wonderful strut work.
I've been so tempted to grab this off evilbay, I'm having second thoughts.

Hello friends
,
Not much time to spend on the forum. I already spend 12 to 13h/day on a PC with my eyes glued to my screens.
I took over this one while waiting for a Fokker Dr.1 triplet to dry.
I finalized the surface details, and undercoated it with AK primer diluted with the brand's thinner:
Quick pre-shadowing in the knowledge that you'll need to lightly post-shadow with oils afterwards anyway:
Quick pre-shading, in the knowledge that you'll have to do a little post-shading with oils afterwards anyway. Then I start camouflaging the fuselage with my bare hands, before doing the same on the wings and moving parts:

Very nice job indeed on that camo pattern, that's a tough pattern to get right.

Hello friends,
Thanks for your messages!
I finished the camouflage on the wings.
WNW says there was black speckling on the lower surfaces. What do you think? Is it more of a dark wash, or some kind of sponge work? I can't find anything on this subject.
Thanks in advance!

More excellent work on airbrushing that camo, very effective. Regarding the colour scheme, I suggest you look through the original photos on the WNW website which show some of the field applied camo and draw your own conclusions. Most seem to be brush/sponge type effects.

Great progress.
Going up to see the real deal in Canada in a couple of weeks.
I bet I get one off evilbay when I return....
