Ciao from Italy!
« on: December 16, 2024, 08:57:56 PM »
Hello everyone, my name is Andrea Brenco and I live near Genoa, Italy.
like many of my generation I started gluing Airfix kits at six years old and with various pauses I still continue now that I am sixty-three.
I have remained faithful to the 1:72 scale, building mainly German aircraft from the Second World War: for some years, however, I have been fascinated by the aviation of the Great War, overwhelmed by the bright liveries worn by the machines of the two German and Austro-Hungarian Empires.
I am sure that I will find a source of much inspiration in this forum!
Have a good day everyone!
Ciao :)
Andrea

P.s. I wanted to attach a photo of one of my finished models but none of the ones I took fit within the 192KB limit, sorry

Hello Andrea,
welcome to the forum. Best solution for your image posting issue is using an image host like postimages.org and embedding the link here.
Best wishes,
Andreas

Welcome Andrea

Hope you'll enjoy the forum as much I have the last few years. Good to see a fellow builder of 72nd scale models coming on board too

All the best

Welcome to the forum Andrea.
I had the same issue as you initially re posting images and posted one at a time. There are a few free image cropping/reducing apps available which will shrink your images way below 192 which is what I did for a while and enabled me to post about 4 at a time but Andreas has the best idea suggesting you use an image hosting site. I now use Imgur and have never looked back.

Andrea,
Welcome to the best and most comfortable Modeling Forum on the net, as a life long modeler I know you'll enjoy the experience here, and looking forward to seeing your work. Like Andreas and Alan I'd recommend you consider Imgur for your photo management.
Cheers,
Lance

Hello Andrea! I've been following your build of the Batmodels Gotha GL VII on the 72scale planes forum and am still wondering about how you managed that..I did'nt finish mine due to poor fit of the struts etc...
I had issues posting fotos here, too,I switched from Photobucket to Flickr ,easy to handle and for free.
Ciao
Mathias

Hello Andrea and welcome.
The size limit of the photos here can be easily dealt with by using a photo editor, I'm using this: https://www.befunky.com/create/
You upload a photo, edit it as you like and downsize it to fit here.
Best regards,
Ehud

Many thanks Mathias, it was a real fight for me too, I paused that build for more than a year, when resumed it I was more determined to finish it no matter what!
I wrote an article published in SAM November issue this year, If anyone is interested I could share it here too.
Ciao
Andrea
