WnW Fokker DVII F
« on: March 03, 2019, 09:19:27 PM »
I was a bit late to the Wingnut Wings party and by thw time I became interested thanks to finding Des's wonderful site the original DVII kits were all sold out so when the early version was released I picked up a couple and bought the spare F/BMW engine and OAW sprue's direct from Wingnuts to make the versions I wanted to.

Not sure which scheme to go for yet but looking forward to getting stuck in to this one.

Regards.Andy

I have often thought of doing a BMW powered DVII this route as the original kit is unobtainable, so I will follow with great interest... Lovely choice! Marc.

Hi Andy,
Good choice.
I'm part way through building the first of a pair of D.VII's.
Watch out for the assembled cockpit when closing up the fuselage.
I took care not to paint any of the mating surfaces but still sound that the fuselage 'bulged' slightly adjacent to the fuel tank.
Also be careful not to break the framework at the forward fuselage - it's pretty delicate,

Hey, Monty, I think you can have a Fokker D.VII F by obtaining this extra sprues, offered by Wingnut Wings, together with the available D.VII (Fok) „Early“:

Welcome Andy
This was my second WNW kit and it is brilliant. Enjoy.
