I was given the opportunity lately to paint up a new set of figures from Model Cellar for the box art. These 1/35 scale resin castings of WW1 German Doctor & Orderly w/Wounded Infantryman were sculpted by Mike Good (MC35163). I was asked to pose them in a vignette, using the old Esci Horse-drawn medical cart. Knowing that the WW1 German medical carts were quite different from the Esci kit, I modified it by adding a flat top and some epoxy-putty tarps to help make it look more the part. The figures were painted in my typical method of Tamiya airbrushing and Vallejo acrylic brush painting.
Since Paul from the Model Cellar has posted some photos announcing these figures for the upcoming MFCA show in Philadelphia, I thought I'd drop them here so everyone could have look.
Cheers,
Gary

A beautiful Camel.
I also had a problem with sagging fishing line (0.12mm) some time ago.
At that time I painted it with Tamiya Aluminum XF-16, thinned with Tamiya Thinner X-20A.
Perhaps I had used too much thinner, in any case I had to redo almost all the tensioning,
because retensioning with a slightly heated scalpel blade was not successful.

Anyway, back to your Camel:
Your F.1 Camel looks quite nice, finely built model.

Very nice little Nieuports.
The Cowling looks excellent in the pictures - looks extremely convincing polished and slightly scratched aluminum.

Guad gmacht  ;)
Well done!

Very nicely built, the polishing marks on the Engine cowling and the sheet metal covers are first class - the figures are also very realistically painted.
Bravo.
A very convincing diorama.

Completed models / Re: Pfalz D.IIIa Jasta 30 Dude 1/32 Roden

A Roden Pfalz D.IIIa converted into a D.III.
Very nicely done, the Roden models are generally somewhat underestimated, with a little effort and dedication beautiful models can be built from them.
Unfortunately, these kits often struggle with badly warped or bent wings across every biplane type series.
Especially the upper wing.

I like the color scheme you chose for the Jasta 30 and it matches the D.IIIa very well.
The propeller also looks quite good.
A beautifully done conversion - bravo.

A small remark about the ailerons on your model, they both point downwards, at least one of them should be deflected slightly upwards.

One other thing that has always remained consistent with my bench is that I still am yet (after 20 something years) still not sorted my tools out to be in easy reach and well organised at my fingertips. The small sets of drawers under my desk contains the chaos that are my hand tools, paints, sandpapers, tapes, plastic sheet / strip, and other bits and bobs. One day I will properly organise things... or so I keep telling myself!

I am so glad to hear that! I too have various boxes and drawers full of vaguely similar things but they are all chaos inside.
