After rebuilding my Ilya Muromets bomber, I realized I only had one other Russian aircraft completed in my collection. I pulled it off the shelf and found it needed a new facelift as well.

I decided that only the fabric areas needed to be repainted and new national markings applied. But still I had to disassemble the entire aircraft.

The wings of this Eastern Express kit have the starved cow look so I scratch built new ones from Rosemont vaccuform wing blanks

Everything was primed dark brown and ther ribs and framework masked off. Then over painted with Tamiya deck tan

Next came light coats of Vallejo aged white to make the fabric look

prepped with a coat of Furure and the Americal Gryphon decals were applied.
Here?s the finished look.

I?ll post more pictures in the completed model section.
Thanks for looking in!
