Title: Eagle of Trieste Vol 2 - Adriatic Air War

This arrived in the post this morning and exceeded expectations. I choose not to get volume one at this stage as that is described as primarily a biography of Gottreid von Banfield, whereas Volume 2 is cited as potted history of the Northern Adriatic Air War in WW1.

All the elements I was after are included - a great range of photos from both sides, colour profiles and plans of some KuK Flying Boats and a good overview of the Air War including key specific actions and events.  On the strength of this I will no doubt pick up Vol 1 at some stage.

Thanks for this reminder - I've been mulling over this, a bit hesitant because of the cost.
But it's a fascinating slice of WWI air war history, and his was definitely one of the more interesting personal histories of the conflict.
Nice to see the 'Blue Wonder' on the cover, too :)
