Siemens-Schuckert D.III
With the pictures of the finished biplane a project ends, which I started in Jan 2016. So this is model number 5 of the actual year.
The biplane is a Siemens-Schuckert D.III, as flown by Ltn. Heinrich Dembowsky 1918, with a rotary engine Siemens-Halske Sh.III. The kit was Eduard Profipack in 1/48, also the engine is a Brassin-kit of Eduard. The Spandau-MGs are Master, Aviattic decals are used for lozenge and the turnbuckles are Gaspatch. The 4-blade air acrew is hand crafted.
As usual I have used paints of Alclad, Gunze and oils.
A detailed build report with additional macro pictures can be found here: https://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=9722.0
The build was fun, because is is really a great kit with good fit.
Enough text, I assume you want to see pics:

Beautifully done Frank, enjoyed following the build thread and your techniques. Congratulations.
-
Gorgeous. As usual from your workbench.
-
Thank you very much!
It was a nice experience to build such a modern kit, compared to the older WWI kits.
Cheers,
Frank

She looks a $1000000
Well done!

Excellent model, sets a standard on its own. And the build will be an unvaluable reference for anyone going on the same kit.

Neat, Clean and Beautiful! Well done, Frank!

Thank you my friends for your kind words!
She looks a $1000000
Bob, for that amount of money I would:
1. sell the model.
2. buy and build the kit again
3. quit the job
4. build the rest of my big stash, instead of the daily work
;)

Perfect in every way, Frank!

Very nice. I like it a lot.

(another) excellent model, Frank! The contrast between the lozenge, gold-yellow insignia, black fuselage and that big wooden propeller makes this a very striking model!
-
Bud, Paul and Jeroen, I want to say thank you for leaving such nice comments!
This is the kind of fuel, which keep my update-machinery running ;D

Wonderful model. The colours match really good and the build is perfect. This one is also on my "must build list".
