Title: Fokker built D.VII instrument board

Hello everybody,

I am currently building Wingnut Wings  early Fokker D.VII and have a question about the instrument board.  I have read in another forum many years ago that the Fokker built instrument boards were painted black instead of being finished in varnish.  Does anyone know if this is true?
