Title: Nieuport XI, Escadrille N3, Lemmes, April 1916 (Special Hobby 1:32)
Post by: Borsos on July 27, 2018, 02:02:52 AM
Hello dear fellow modellers,

finally I finished my Nieuport 11 in the colors of Escadrille N3 at the Verdun front on Lemmes airfield in April 1916 (the famous stork symbol came only after moving to the Somme front in summer!). It's the older but still great Special Hobby kit with a Wingnut Wings Le Rhone, a Gaspatch Lewis and Aviattic linnen decals on the undersides of the plane.

Beautifully rendered Borsos! A superbly detailed and beautifully finished early Nieuport, a pleasure to view. What's the next project you have lined up?
Cheers,
Lance

Magnificent! Congratulations!! I particularly like the presentation of the pilot getting ready to fly and the nonchalance of the other guy - which one's heart rate is higher in this moment that you have captured?

Cheers,
Alistair

I'm very proud to read that my Flyboys-Nieuport triggers the start of this project (first words of your build report) and even more after seeing the great result! With every update it was looking better and better.
You are also able to paint great figures, with adds here a little story.
Well done, my friend!

Cheers,
Frank

A truly gorgeous Nieuport, Andreas, in another masterful vignette!  Where I simply slap a model together, you turn each build into a story.  I envy your skill and imagination, my friend!
Cheers,
Bud

Lance, Przemo, Juan, Rick, Alistair, Guiseppe, Ondra, Frank, Sam, Marc and Bud, thank you very much for your kind words. I really appreciate them!
Lance, I think I'll get back to my Fe2d project now and see how far I can get with it before I need another break and another "quick" build in between...  :D

Best regards
Andreas

Sorry to be late Andreas, but I have been away and missed tis. I too have enjoyed your build log and am delighted to see this one finished. Every one of your models is a mini-masterpiece, each with its own story well captured in the special details that you add. In this case it is the figures - so realistic. Wonderful work.

Stephen.

Excellent build and very nice setting with the figures. Although the pilot should get someone to remove that nasty weed from the landing field.....  ;)
