The "new" kit from Wingnuts is now ready for pre-order and the instructions are online now, too.

Wow, just got the email, $89 plus free "Windsock Special - Richtofen" book (while supplies last) is an awesome deal.

Strange, this time the downloadable instructions are immediately available.

I have to buy one of these as I have one more Albatros to build. It will not be MvRs' bird, but one from Jasta 10. I already have the Richthofen Special so no big reason to pre order for me. I will wait for Sprue Brothers or another Distributer in the US that is Cheaper, at least for shipping.

I noticed they include decals for the Roden Fokker Dr.I. I wonder if this means they aren't going to produce their own Dr.I?

Also decals for the Roden Albatros DIII are included. Seems pretty clear at this point 8)

I'm pretty amazed by their magnanimity. They could bury Roden, yet they help them along not only by not competing, but by selling gear that might inspire us to buy Roden.
Two thumbs up for classy.
One thumb down for not fixing that ugly spinner. The sprues are the same as the trilogy kit's sprues.

Now that the special Von Richthofen edition of the Wingnuts Albatros D.V is available for pre-orders I'm sure there will be many wondering whether the resin MVR figure and the new decal set will be available separately?
I asked Richard Alexander, General Manager of Wingnut Wings and his answer is:
1.- The Von Richthofen figure will not be available for sale separately.
2.- The special Albatros D.V decal sheet will be available for sale separately in due course subject to availability.
Incidentally these points will also apply to the other forthcoming special issues with figures ( Immelman, Collishaw, Hawker).

I was wondering that too, thanks Dave.

Details of the Von Richthofen DV are on the WNW website with full instructions and colour schemes. It's planned for release late August.
It looks very interesting and as the figure (which I really like) will only be released with this kit, I'm glad I have this one on backorder.
