Meanwhile Istarted to paint wings, the livery will bw Fucini's mount with hand painted camouflage and twin guns.

Hi Giuseppe! Whata brilliant start!
Fucini's livery is agreat one, I just did it on my 1/144 HD1 second trio!
Looking forward to watching next step!

Grazie Antonio, your excellent triples were inspiring to my HD1 build and despite the shame of many models left unfinished (in some cases since years...), I'm going to build another one with this.

I love the shading on your wings as the overall impression that is already given by your progress pics. Very nice!
Borsos

Nice detailing in the fuselage.
Will that engine fit under the cowling? Didn't think there was that much room around the top of the cylinders.
-
Very nice paint work on the wings. I am looking forward to seeing the completed engine!

Hi Giuseppe, that is indeed an unusual livery I am not aware of.
Would you please let me (us) know more on it?
Thanks
;-)

Wow, Giuseppe! Those are really looking fantastic!

Ditto !!!

Hi evwribody, thank you for commenting.
The engine fits, because it was very basic and lacking any detail of the cylinders' heads so being smaller then the cowling: I added small (but slightly overscaled) disks to simulate the ball bearings, most prominent thing visible through the cowling openings and will add spak plugs cables and injection ducts made with copper microtube.
The silver/crimson aeroplane will be Arturo Resch's HD1, both liveries are taken from Osprey's "Italian aces of WW1".

Some great work Giuseppe. That is a very nice picture of the plane, too... Can't wait to see it!

Thank you Gaz.
Made a little step, with engine and tail lattice installed, and fuselage marking set.

Fantastic work Giuseppe, the tail skid frame is a wonderful piece of craftsmanship!
I just would have used a more reddish shade of brown for the Fucini livery, but it's a great result in any case.

Outstanding work on opening up the rear fuselage and the tail skid. Looks perfect! I Love the painting/ color scheme.

Looking good Guiseppe!

Thank you Steve.
Changed my plan and set the upper wing before guns, it will need more attention but positioning will be easyer. An italian windscreen and half rigging done.

Just caught up on this Giuseppe. Really great work and I love the colour scheme plus decals. I'll keep a watch out now for updates.

Very nice work on this nice bird! Just few words about your rigging, because the tension created on our models is real, that' s much better to fix the rigging symetricaly. It seems to me that you stated by one side completely.

-
Very, very nice work! A favourite of mine, your Hanriot is awesome.
Cheers,
Ernie :)
-
Thank you all for cheching in and for your comments.
Rigging is made with EZ line, so I dare doing one side at a time, if using higher tension stuff will be imperative to proceed symmetrically and Stephane's advice is absolutely correct.
I noticed that this elastic thread tends to curl when in contact with cianoacrilate, has anyone suggestions to avoid this?
Ciao
Giuseppe

I seem to have missed this update earlier . Well Done! The rigging looks terrific!
RAGIII
-
Hallo Giuseppe,
I normally use EZ line, but the problem of getting curly when touching the CA glue is the same on all the elastic threads.
So normally I put a drop of glue on the eyelet after inserting the thread and then trim the "curly" thread remaining outside the eyelet.
I have now purchased Uschi's rigging thread and will experiment on the Breguet.
I also use to rig one complete wing at a time and never get that tension to unbalance the other side, as there are already struts that are glued to the wings to make the structure stiff enough.
What do you use as "resin turnbuckles"?
BTW I love the work you're doing on this plane!
-
Thank you, Richard and Antonio. I've been using resin "tensioner" made by quick boost, but the overall look is a bit overscaled. I think microtube sections will look finer.
