Congrats, Richard, looks really promising. I had good results with a heat gun.

I and the wife ate lunch where my oldest son is manager and my youngest son is part of the wait-staff, so that was fun! Not to mention the food is terrific (caribbean menu). Then I watched my two grand daughters, ages 5 and 3, for a few hours so the daughter and her hubby could have some time out. I'm now worn out and glad to be home. But I wouldn't trade this Father's Day for any plastic at all!

That's a great Father's day, Glenn. My boys took Sue and me out for a meal too

Yes, it is! And I got from my son this:

i.e. the fantastic brand new model of an important pre-WW2 Polish aircraft.

My little 4 years old daughter made me at the kindergarten a really tasty cake covered with pink topping and lots of sugar hearts and some paper umbrellas on it. She pointed out that I am not allowed to eat the little umbrellas because they are made of paper and wood, but I can feel free to use them for my modelling..... ;D

Wonderful!
Of course, you are now obliged to make a model using the umbrellas
