Title: WNW's Ships Camel
Post by: Gisbod on June 12, 2017, 03:19:02 AM
Evening,

Think I'm calling this done - although I haven't done the figure yet... I may still add it - see how I go.

A lot of fun making the simple base - basically a rough copy of the photo on HMS Calliope...

Very very good.
The burnished cowling is amazing. Also the flying-off platform. :)

That's a truly gorgeous Camel, Guy, and that base is perfect!  A figure would be a nice addition, but it's absolutely brilliant as is.  Love it!
Cheers,
Bud

The aircraft looks superb - no matter what its builder may think - but the 'flight deck' sets the seal on a very impressive & novel display.

Most of us are often never happy with what we've produced but that's a stunning model in anyone's book - you should be well pleased with that outcome Guy that really is a terrific result (big thumbs up sign required here!)

I am hopelessly sidetracked at the moment but popped in to find this - absolutely brilliant work - well done on a superb model all round

Magnificent Guy, the model and base together make it even better! I've shamelessly added this to my Camel File for future reference, hope you don't mind!

Thanks everyone,

Despite the cock ups, I'm pleased with how it looks on the base. I've just bought a digital SLR camera  :) and it's cracking for photographing models. It's nice to be able to have control over the depth of field.

Will be in an upcoming Scale Aviation Modeller.

Wonderful Camel - beautiful!
Also your platform is a nice base, with the bucket as cool gimmick :)

GEEZ...That is amazing.  At least one of the shots looks like the real thing from a museum.  Love the presentation and the metal work.

Just great!

Well done as always, Guy. The base is very unique, and your Camel may have convinced me to buy one of those WnW's new release after all.
Cheers,
Gary

Great job, Guy. The metal cowling of the camel is a stunner and the presentation on the deck is very nice.
A wonderful new piece for your collection.
