Superb work, Pete -

I really like the colour scheme on this one - were these good quality decals?

Dave, Rowans (Pheon Models) decals are some of the best you can get, you should try some.

Okay, I've done stripes but nothing like a complicated checkerboard pattern yet. I don't know if my receding hairline could stand trying something like this. Well done!

Cheers,

Chris

Thanks for the comments guys.

You're only jealous von Buckle  :P

Andrew, the base kit is a WnW 1/32 Albatros DV.

Chris, the pattern is not too bad, the wings and fusilage are painted a pale grey and Rowans decals are alternating clear and green checkerboard pattern, so when the decals are down you get the pale grey and green squares.

Cheers

Pete.

Many thanks Des, it was the most complex decalling jobI had ever done, I had a few gliches with them, but that was me putting them on, Rowans decals are superb and when I got it right they went on brilliantly.

Pete,
The decals may be great however I've done a few checker-board sections in the past and methinks it wasn't easy, you really hammered this one. Beautiful top to bottom due to your skills. You should be very proud of this one...Thanks for sharing it with the Forum.
Cheers,
Lance

Hello Pete:

I have seen this before but I am just as impressed with it now as before.  You did an outstanding job on this a/c.  It looks great.  What color/brand did you use on the tail?

Best
Mark

Thanks Mark, the paint I used for the tail was recommended by Rowan Broadbent with his decals, it was Citadel Dark Angels Green, this however is now out of production and has been replaced by Caliban Green, which according to their paint chart is an exact match, the red linings are decals which are supplied by Rowan as well.  HTH.

Hi Antonio, no you didn't say anything wrong at all, it's just that I do not consider myself a master, I have still got a great deal to learn.
