(sorry if this is a duplicate)

ordered Camel/LVG. Same price as WNW shows on site and free shipping after bringing the total up to $200 by throwing in a few supplies.
-
Ordered three, got free shipping. Lower 48 US buyers rejoice!!! ;D ;D ;D
-
I received notice that my Camel had shipped within an hour of ordering it!
-
And they're gone! That didn't take long. :)
I'm sure there will be another batch along soon though.

Wonder how many they had of each? :o
-
not enough!
-
Got my two, and half price shipping @ 8.00 to my house.

Is this a time warp we are witnessing here as WnW site still says 'Coming Soon' :D.
Hope that means to a supplier nearer to those of us too far away from Sprue Bros to take advantage. Enjoy your kits guys - I have a feeling we'll be waiting a bit longer over here :(

Speculation going around is that SB had a small introductory stock air freighted, with a larger stock of kits on a ship to follow in a few weeks. Besides the Camels, they were only showing two other kits.
Uschi is telling folks his shipment is arriving in Germany March 15 (by container), suspect other destinations are similar...
-
SB had around 15 of each kit in stock. They all sold out within hours, except for the non Camel releases.
-
The seller Lotsofmodels have them for 89.95 and free shipping so not to bad of a deal if you want one or 2
-
I did check them out, but the free shipping is US only and when I started to add stuff to the order (Masterclub rivets and bolts) they were charging an addition $5 for each bolt set, plus $19 for the Camel. I scrapped the order and will wait to see who else makes an offer. I still have my order with Hannants and will have to wait and see what the shipping is like.

On another site they had a code for a discount on Lots of Models. I tried it and was comparable to what I would have paid on Sprues Brothers so I ordered just one kit and no extra stuff. Pity because I wanted to get more of the Masterclub rivets and bolts but they are so small and so light they could have just been put in the box without adding anything to the shipping. Not sure how they calculate the shipping costs but it will deter me from ordering stuff from just one place
-
If that's true about the added shipping, get your Masterclub stuff from http://www.euromodelshop.ch -- if that's all you order, Daniel will send the stuff to you in an envelope first class.
-
Thank you for the link I will have a look at what they offer.

For those that are getting their camels, please open the box and look how sprue D is placed in the box. It seems that the entire contents are bagged in addition to the individual sprues being bagged. In both of mine, sprue D was placed in the box to where it was smushed in. This caused some flexing in the trees. Luckily none of the parts are damaged, but if I had let it sit, it probably would have warped a few parts. All it takes is to open the outer bag and rotate the sprue. Everything fits perfectly then.
-
Same here, seems that the person/machine packing these kits decided to put that sprue length wise vs. sideways. Opened mine and corrected, no parts damaged. Awesome kits. ;D ;D
-
Juan, nichenson: You might want to inform Wingnut Wings via e-mail. Maybe they have the chance to intervene and avoid that fault with the next production batch!
-
Sent Dave an email informing him of what was happening. Hopefully they will correct in future runs although I am sure many kits have gone out this way.
-
My camels arrived today from Lots of Models. I agree with Bo and others, it doesn't look like it any warping/damage was caused by the odd packaging of sprue D.

Ahh...you beat me to it! A local friend of mine and I went together on an order to get the free shipping .
Already shipped. Got to love Sprue Brothers.

Back in stock!!!!
I envy you, lucky Americans >:(
Just checked, shipping to Poland is a ridiculous 70 USD...
-
huh - i do have an order with Weta myself and still have not heard a thing - strange. Might have to cancel those credit card charges out - pretty frustrating when the official distributor still does not have product to ship while other shops are on their second delivery of stock....

This really has become rather unpleasant. If I recall correctly the Official date is Mid March for WETA and other distributers that chose to have the kits shipped by container. I am currently trying to cancel my WETA order since I got one from Sprue Brothers. In the end though time doesn't matter all that much. I have 4 other builds in progress :-[

I just ordered my Ships Camel from Metro Hobbies in Victoria, Australia, they offered free shipping for orders over $100 and they have the Camels in stock.

Yeah - I was able to get a Camel through the alternative shops as well so its not so much that i have to have the Camel NOW that I ordered from Weta, but it just strikes me as not a particularly good recommendation to use Weta in the future? Its like "order from Weta if you are in no rush at all and dont mind getting your kits last" sorta thing?
-
I got in on this second preorder and grabbed the duellist kit since I missed out on the LVG the first time around. This was despite a local seller having every Camel kit but the duellists for exactly the WNW pricing and no added shipping costs (groan). Last I saw it said Q2 on their website, but now it says "early 2017," which is about as nebulous as "late 2016." (Not that I'm complaining. I'm all in on an Albatros D.V and have a completely untouched Alb B.II still to dig into.)
Anyone know of any aftermarket decal options yet, or plans for them? The only fault of the duellists kit is that it is absolutely spartan for markings, with maybe the two most similar (and IMO, rather plain) schemes possible.
