Which of these 1/48th scale kits would you like to see CSM produce?
Farman F.40 Lots of great nacelle artwork for this one
Voisin 3
Albatros C.I
Albatros J.I
Breguet 14 A2 and B2 both in in early and late models plus a version with the Michelin bomb wing section
-
All. :)
-
Yup , All 8)
Terri
-
Oh, man, Barry. That's a tough one. My initial reaction was the same as Terri's and Andreas', but I have the old Hi Tech Breguets and they're pretty good, though the CSM kits would be more detailed and better fitting. And the Albatros C.I is...never mind. I want them all. But, if they only did one, I'd like it to be the Farman. Or maybe the Voisin. Or perhaps the J.1. Or...
Cheers,
Bud
-
Farman F.40.
Voisin 3 as a fallback position.
Paul.
-
I know it's not part of the poll, but I'd really like to see them produce that Handley Page 0/400 they had on display at Telford. ;)
Cheers,
Bud
-
You would have winners with all, my vote is Farman F.40 then Albatros C.I
-
The Breguet 14 A2 and B2 for me.
Mike
-
Breguet 14
Happy New Year to all,
Dwayne
-
Farman F.40.
Voisin 3
-
Farman and voisin for me of course!
Xan
-
Farman and a Taube.....sorry.
-
The Breguet 14 A2 and B2 gets my vote. Best of luck with whatever you decide to release.
Regards,
Paul
-
Voisin
Farman
Both of these would go very nice with the Caudron.
-
Farman and Voisin
What he said.
-
Hello!
Breguet XIV (I believe that Gaspatch is preparing one).
FE.2b
Caudron G.3
Farman F.40
Voisin but not III, she is not beautiful...
Hub.
-
What exciting possibilities lie ahead. These were my first thoughts - and I'll leave German types to others with greater knowledge. My list would be a mix of brand new types in 1/48 and some older favourites that need to be kitted to the new CS standards
Caudron R.11
Breguet 14B2.
Maurice Farman MF 11 Shorthorn (or even the Longhorn)
Blériot XI
Vickers F.B.5 (Gunbus)
Royal Aircraft Factory FE 2b
Short 184
And then one I forget, initially. What about a really good
R.E.8
Best wishes
Nigel
-
What about a really good
R.E.8
Best wishes
Nigel
Amen
-
FE-8 in 32 or 48 scale !
Terri
-
FE.8....
Sopwith Baby
DH.5
RE.8
All in 1/48 scale but happy to see the FE, Dh5 and Sopwith in 1/32 also if the economics justify it.

I want an RE-8!
My two cents.
Tim Pivonka
-
ooh, I would love tohave a FE-8 as well, just love pushers!
but that was not the question, so I would have to say... a Voisin please
-
Farman F.40 and an FE8 for me.
Cheers

Hansa-Brandenburg D1 - would be fab!
:)

Maybe a Martinsyde Buzzard but I think only two saw action at the end of WW1 so probably not a contender.

Spad S.A-2

There is one in 1/48:

Just a totally uninformed guess here, Bob, but you may not be too far afield.

Conversation sets for Gotha GV to G IV, AEG C IV to N1 or 2, W12 short fuselarge to Long and other.

Thanks. Not a fan of resin kits though. I'm a bit cack handed and tend to break the parts when removing them from the sprues. I do have one in 1/72 but I've decided to give up that scale for larger stuff. :)
-
Voisin 3 and albatross c.1 not interested in the farman or Breguet 14. I have 2 diff hi tech Breguet and a Jager j.1 .would like the vision and alb.c1 though. Quite a but
-
All :D
-
I would definitely go for the Voisin III
but also
Maurice Farman
MF 11 Shorthorn
MF 7 Longhorn
Edit 01/01/2017:
RE8 would be a good choice as well
-
Vickers FB5 "Gun Bus' in G.S.M. Insall's markings !!

Going through this 'wish' list it has really grown in size, I think Edgar will have enough work here to last him two life times, here is the list so far submitted by our forum members;
TAUBE
HANDLEY PAGE 0/400
ALBATROS J.1
VOISIN 3
ALBATROS C.1
MF 11 SHORTHORN
MF 7 LONGHORN
VICKERS FB.5 GUN BUS
BREGUET XIV
FE.2b
FARMAN F.40
CAUDRON R.II
BLERIOT XI
SHORT 184
R.E.8
FE.8
SOPWITH BABY
DH.5
HANSA BRANDENBURG D.1
MARTINSYDE BUZZARD
SPAD S.A-2
and my choice is;
CAPRONI CA.3
Des.
-
My choice: a Spad S.A-2
From the list, a Voisin 3.

It's funny how someone asks would you prefer apple or oranges and we go on and on about pomegranate ,lychee, dates and Gogi berries are much more desirable.

That's just bananas ;)

I don't have a Pony in the Race but from the original List. Voisin would be my choice if I built 1/48th. No reason just a cool under kitted model in all scales!

I saw on one of the posts in this thread that Gaspatch may be working on a Breguet XIV. Can anyone shed any more light on this? Can anyone confirm or deny this rumor? If confirmed, I can offload my Hi-Tech Breguet.
Thanks, Tim Pivonka

The wide ranging replies to Edgar's original question/ poll are very interesting and should be helpful to him and CSM as they plan future releases.
Edgar asked us to choose from a list of potential kit subjects - Farman F.40; Voisin 3; Albatros C.I; Albatros J.I; Breguet 14 A2 and B2.
The replies were a wide ranging choice of subjects - most of them not on Edgar's list.
With enormous respect to Copper State Models, maybe the replies indicate there is not as much interest in these subjects as CSM may like?
If so, the replies are a possible indicator of sales/ demand and a clue to subjects that may have more commercial appeal.
Maybe the poll question should be - what 1/48th new WW1 kit would you absolutely buy? (rather than just like). For me subjects like an RE.8, Sopwith Baby and DH.5 would be compulsory purchases.

A very valid point David.
TBH it hadn't occurred to me but then not many things do these days :)
-
For me :
Breguet 14 A2 & B2
FARMAN F.40
Jean-chris
-
For me, the one's that I would absolutely buy, RE 8, Sopwith Baby and DH 5.
Tim Pivonka

Dear friends, I was not the topic starter) so it was not the CSM who was asking about - WHAT NEXT) ;)
An RE8? ;)
-
I will stick with my original suggestion - Caproni CA.3
Des.

Apologies to Edgar. You are quite right, I now see you were not the topic starter but I still feel a valid question would be what new WW1 kit would you absolutely buy?
Irrespective of who started the poll, the responses have given CSM some insight into customer interests?

Quite honestly, based on the Dolphin, Caudrons and the forthcoming F.K.8, I would absolutely buy anything that Copper State produces. The quality of the recent releases is astonishing.

Bud
