872 is finished!
It's quite a strange plane between the nieuports Navarre used.
first because it was not a new plane. We know it was used before in the N3.
second because it's surely the first plane , perhaps the prototype who used alkan system wich permit the lewis to fire toward the propeler.
the arrival of the vickers with 200 bullet (lewis had 50) made the system obsolete.
Navarre used always two plane at the same time to fly the most he could.
872 was surely used between middle of march and the end of april of 1916 together with first ni-16 965 and later with ni-16 1130

You turned out a show stopper here. I really like your work on this model. It catches more than just the the airplane, it also embodies that paeticular period. I can't wait to see it in a diorama.

Great work. Heavy weathering is always risky on aircraft but this works!!

Xan,
Beautifully done with an outstanding weathering job, this is an absolutely stunning model. I can't get over the staining on the fuselage sides, you really nailed that feature! Just spectacular work all round!

Superb model!!!! Oso ondo!!

Superb Xan - just superb :) It's also worth repeating that the worn/oil stained effect you have on the fuselage is absolutely the 'biz'. You have reminded me too - I didn't weather the lower wings for wheel spray on mine ::) Time to get the airbrush out again.
A terrific result indeed - looking forwards to seeing it in the dio

Brilliant little diorama, Xan! The mud is very convincing and the
figure adds just the right amount of realism. Absolutely amazing
