Has anyone looked at the new Eduard Fokker EIII kit and compared it to 1/48 GA drawings for an EI? Wonder if it's merely a matter of removing acouple of rib stations? Not sure if the fuselage is shorter as well. With the Eduard Weekend Edition available it looks to be perhaps an inexpensive way to add an EI to the collection.

Thanks for the tip, I'll stick my nose in the box. Is the EI fuselage the same length as the EIII?

From the information I have the dimensions are as follows, these are for full size aircraft.
Fokker E.I
Wing span - 8.84m (29'0")
Length - 7.20m (23'7")
Fokker E.III
Wing span - 9.52m (31'3")
Length - 7.20m (23'7")
I hope this helps.

Thanks for the references, I'll be building the EI this Fall. I just finished painting eight WW1 120mm British soldiers for a local Omaha sculptor. He scratchbuilds these but does paint so thats where I come in. Will be getting back into my Fokker triplane build next.

i wanna say there are a few other minor differences like fuel tank position and such but such be a pretty easy conversion.

I have the Datafile on the Fokker EI, so thanks for the tip, I watch for the fuel tank and other areas.
