Hello friends
Being a rookie i have some doubts about the colours used in WW1. Im building the Eduard Albatros D.III and they say to use the RLM02 to paint the grey areas on the fuselage! But then i see some builds with a very different colour!. Should i use the H70, RLM02? or there is another colour?
Thank you.

Vitor,
The consensus appears to be a "grey-green", check out the photos of the TVAL Albatros's here and you'll see a pretty good (My opinion) version. I used to mix my own using a 50/50 mix of Model Master FS35237 Medium Grey and RLM80 Olivgrun enamals. Tamiya's XF-76 Gray Green(IJN) is a great match as well.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Lance

I agree with Lance athough I use a little different mix and brand. I also think that Occasionally a darker more green color was used. JMHO,

Hi Lance, RagIII
This is a huge help! I definitely see the RLM02 there!!! I was afraid to use it but correct, if not is really close to what i see on the pictures.
Thank you very much for your help :-)

Hi Vitor,
there is a brownish variant of the interior/metal panel paint recorded for some German aircraft (notably LVG-built, but possibly more) - mentioned by Dan-San Abbot and others. This has a a Methuen notation of 4C3 (i.e. beige, greyish-yellow, or light blond) and a very decent match can be easily achieved with a 50:50 mix of Gunze H336 (RAF Hemp) and H311 USAF Gray FS36622. Suitable at least for Alb DII (LVG), the LVG C series and DFW CV (LVG).
Cheers,
GrahamB
Note: ratio for these two is not 50:50 (brainfade!) but 3:1
