Title: WNW RE8
Post by: TobyCoulson on February 04, 2016, 08:33:59 AM
I've been after one for a while and one popped up in eBay. Bidding has now reached £157 :o

$319 in Australian dollars is getting a bit rich but as Jason said, if someone really wants it they will pay any price.

I don't know what that equals in US dollars but guessing close to $300.00? I think My friend Mac still has one available for what he paid which is $225.00 US. If anyone is interested PM me.

I'll settle for my 1/72 Airfix for $25. I would regret paying $300 for any kit. ;)

Yep, that is a bit above my limit also, though being a 1/32nd builder $25.00 is somewhat below. I think the most I have paid for a kit including shipping is $220.00 for the Pre Sale on the Aviattic Ansaldo. No regrets on that one! For all we know WNW could re- release the RE in a dual combo with something else for a lot less! Time will tell if those Modelers who spenf very big money on OOP WNW kits have taken the right course.

Never mind, I'm sure another will pop up (I myself have joined a few modelling groups on Facebook with the intent on buying any wnw kits I missed out on).

Seriously though, i really hope WnW re-release their sold out kits with super detail parts and think this would not only lessen the impact of the recent price increases but also get some fans back buying WnW kits...I know I'd like a few kits I missed out on without paying eBay prices.
