Thanks Justin, Bo, Boggie, Jorg, George, Des, Edo, Alex, Gregory and Bud.  It's great when folk enjoy the shared models.

OK Bud I suppose we can spare Wellington this time around but I've got quite a few more artillery pieces in the stash including the other two Takom kits and a stunning Austro-Hungarian Morser kit from Wiener Modellbau.

Gregory I agree, the detail in the Takom kit is lovely.  I think it's all about executing a, sharp, clean build and the kit just seems to do the rest.  The morser is very sculptural and easy to photograph.  I reckon Des will need to give us some panoramic photos of his Big Bertha when he starts this one.

Edo's build log of the Krupp Morser will be highly subscribed and I think the wing-less section of the forum is a great success.

OK, back to the work bench.

Tally Ho! from Otto

Wow Otto!
That Morser kit is sweet!
What is it? Is it resin? Where one can find it?

In fact, I was a little disappointed with the Skoda gun. From my research it seems that the kit is based on a gun built in 1916, given to Serbia as part of the compensation for WW1, then heavily modified after the war and, after conquering Yugoslavia, reused by Germans during WW 2 (which, actually, is clearly stated on the kit's box  :-\). The main difference to me are the recoli amortizators that in WW1 were above the barrel while in the modified WW2 one they are below it.

Do you have evidences that also the Takom version was used during WW1?

Edo

Otto ,

What beautiful work, it looks as though this is the full size morser.

Fantastic to see the model completed.

Are you allowed to have so many WW1 guns under the "Treaty of Versailles"?

What does Heidi say about all this?

Best wishes,

Dave in "Rio" temporarily  :o

Thanks Guys, I always get a buzz from sharing photos of the finished ones.

It's not that long ago that I had to ask Jamo what Photobucket was and how to take a photo.  That's a great compliment Mack, thank you, Fat Otto's blushing.  :)

I've got a most wonderful surprise (or three) coming from Japan and I'll give you a sneak preview in a week or so.

Cheers
