Title: Starting unit for german fighter - magneto and switcher
Post by: taurusmodels on May 05, 2015, 07:58:49 AM
It was much more difficult, than I though...
The set is almost ready - will be casted in white resin, to allow on scribing any inscription. As You see, I didn't ménage with this. But I know it is possible, I need to use better scriber.

Ok, it's a set:

What should I name this set: starting unit for german fighter, magneto with switcher or maybe something else?

"Bosch Starting Magneto and Magneto Selector Switch for German Aircraft"

Thanks a lot - it's what I need. I cannot use name "Bosch" - copyright. I think, that "Starting Magneto and Magneto Selector Switch for German Aircraft" will be OK

Will be available within a week or sooner - I must prepare forms and cast.
As I said, a set is casted with a white resin to allow on scribing, all bolts are separate, but I'm not sure it was a good idea... bolts are 0.28 and 0.35. Advantage is, that You can paint it separately. In the case of any problem I can prepare also another set with bolts placed on magneto and selector.

All the best, Lukasz

I suggest:

3230a - high detail (separate fasteners)
3230b - simplified assembly (fasteners integrated)

As I told, casted in white resin, so you can paint it black and try to scratch inscriptions. Hope you will find it useful.

Now I'm going back to Bentley :)

Yessss, previously I found it as inconvenient. But my eyes are getting older - it's time.... for glasses of magnifier. Just for the case I've ordered a few types - ESPECIALLY FOR THIS INSCRIPTION - I hate, when something goes wrong :/

Lukasz ,can you please, consider to do this set in 1/48. it would be so helpful. i still will buy these for my 1/32 (wnw, roden) kits but i mostly build 1/48 and i have wished for this in 1/48.

I have used the new starting magneto and selector switch in my latest scratch build, the Sikorsky S-16. The magneto and switch are absolutely brilliant and really finish off the cockpit, I will be buying more of these for my spares box. Thank you Lukasz for producing such a wonderful product.

Lukasz, as Des shows, your Magneto winder and switch looks
terrific in place in a cockpit.  Excellent product, my friend!

Thanks a lot my friends!!!!!

I'm presently overwhelmed by work with Br2.... whole week I'm preparing forms and correct some of them almost 24h a day. It can be really depressed. Still something wrong (three parts sets has been totally corrected). Yesterday I thought, that I
give up stop work with Taurus. But Spitfire helped me :)
I'll manage!!! I'm so close :)

When I finish Bentley I'll try to prepare magnetos for 48 scale :)

no,no you must finish the bentley, this you must do!!!  when you finish and you have time there are some of us that still build 1/48 that would love to have the simplified magneto and starter switcher for 1/48 .there is no need to do the high detail set with extra bolt detail , only simplfied magneto and starter switch. if you can do this we would be forever grateful . and if ever you are able to create any small detail sets for us in 1/48 we would be in your debt. we understand you are a business ,even if this is your passion.we understand most detail sets are more appropriate for 1/32 and this is your main focus. and whatever you do we will observe and respect your art.
