Title: British 14" aerial torpedo
Post by: IanB on February 28, 2015, 11:51:10 AM
As an aside to my Short 184 build, does anyone have any plans or details of the 14" torpedo used by the RNAS? The kit doesn't include any weaponry and I'd like to add the torpedo to the model so any help would be welcome.

Thanks,

Ian

Flightpath make one in 1/72 scale. I suspect it is actually an 18" torpedo but no one is going to spot the difference in 1/72 scale.

That looks great James!  BTW, thanks for posting that link. I had them saved to favorites a long time ago, but lost the link in a computer change.

Thanks for the pics Jamo! Do you have any details on the sling, hoist, and other components? I have the Datafile pics but they aren't very clear on how it was all rigged and held in place.
