Title: Who painted this amazing scene????
Post by: Michael Scarborough on December 10, 2014, 12:50:28 AM
Does anyone know the source of this painting?? Can anyone tell me anything about this Zeppelin? Type? Where would I find drawings of the cupola/cabin? What an astounding box diorama this scene would make!

Any and all help greatly appreciated!

Cheers from NYC,
Michael

Thank you, Bo...as always.....

That is freaky...it says it "Searched over 7.991 billion images in 0.545 seconds."  How is that possible? I'm still getting used to the fact that my phone has no dial.

This is an astounding website and will come in very handy in the future for many uses.

Once Bob gave me the artist's name, Felix Schwormstädt, I found that image as well as one he'd done of the control nacelle on a similar Zeppelin. I also found an image of a gunner and observer on TOP of a Zeppelin. In all cases, amazing fodder for box dioramas.

All I need is time......
