This will be my next build.
At first will you see the kit.
The resin parts a very save in the paket. It is the short fuselage with two versions (early and late).
The instruction has 10 sides with most of them scale size. There are also etch parts and instrument brezel. The decals are for two different planes.
What do you need is navy Lozenge and I think the Winsock Datafile.

I'm really excited to follow this build, Martin! I've got this fantastic kit in my stash and am planning on building it soon, so I'm hoping to learn from you. What scheme have you chosen?
Cheers,
Bud
-
Excellent choice of subject Martin, I am looking forward to seeing you start work on this one.
Des.
-
Thank you for your comments Bud and Des.
I want to build the 1414.
Martin
-
Great choice of subject Martin. That's what I miss about 1:48 Scale, the tremendous variety of subjects and especially the rarer ones. I'll be following your build of this one with great interest.
Cheers,
Lance
-
Thank you Lance.
But to all first the SSW D I must be ready.
ANd I hope that the Aviatik decals come out for my Fok D VII.
Martin

Here are all resin parts.

Good luck with this Martin. The build will be definitely one to follow.
Best wishes
Nigel
-
Thank you Nigel.
Martin
-
I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with this one. I have this kit also, but don't know if I have the 'ship in a bottle, modeling skills to install the cockpit in the semi-solid fuselage.
-
Thank you Rob.
Martin
-
I had clean up some parts.
Made the coolant smaler and a new cockpit floor from 0,5 mm playwood.
The fuselage will thin out from resin.
The second seat is wrong it will make a new one. The engine is a Mercedes and wrong for mine plane. It must change to a Benz.

the fuselage. :)
Cheers,

Thank you Ernie.
Martin
-
Martin,
it might be your photo, but one of the floats seems to be distorted (the upper one)...
Stefan
-
Very interesting log. It seems this is a very nice kit.
-
Stefan I will see at it, thank you
Wolf yes it is, but there are mistakes on it and the Instruktion is not so good as from Karaya. But there are scale plans on it.
Martin
-
i look forward to see you build this one martin. this is the new csm release right? i have the original kit, i bought used and some damage had been done to it. i was hoping when they did the restoration and upgrade to the masters they would have noticed this is the wrong engine and put the right one but alas we arent so lucky. its still a nice kit and the only other 1/48 w.12 is vacuform from sierra scale. good luck i will watch this one.
-
You're moving along quite nicely with this one Martin, the thining of the fuselage is looking good.
Des.
-
Thank you for your comments Scott and Des.
Scott it is the old one.but a nice kit.
Stefan the floats are ok.
Martin
-
The cockpit further drilled and sanded.
Made dashboard, rear wall, curtain wall made of plywood. Customized tank and adjusts front seat.

very nice work martin, i pretty much did similar to you on the interior framwork and such but i am not as far along with the build.i like how you made the observer seat. you did great job to make the engine conversion. i think i am going to cast a copy of the engine from my techmod freidrichshafen and follow similar to what red baron did on his ff33e build. you will have a great model when you finish.
p.s. i am sorry i have not forgotten about sending you the instruction for w-29 i just been busy. i will do it someday soon.

Thank you very much Scott. I habe also the Fe33 and I see to the engine. But together I use photos and the WNW instruction.
I can wait for the W - 29 instruction.

Now has begun with the assembly of the braces on the swimmer. Very difficultly and time-luxuriously there there is no assembly help. :P

Now after very big time involved I have the floats with the struts almost ready. ???
The last two get after the cultivation at the airplane. :o
All external braces had to be shortened namely by constant attaching in the airplane. Here it would be nice if right scale drawings would be present. >:(

-
Nicely done Martin!
RAGIII
-
Thank you for your compliments Des, Ernie and Rick.
Today by glueing the floats to the plane brook two struts out the right wing. Again they are glue between the wings. :(
Martin
-
The build comes slowly to the end. ::)
After me, the two struts of the left side wings are broken in the cultivation of float out, it is now on the floats. :-X
The connections are almost ready painted. The exhaust and wing struts back into it. ::)
Still missing a few color corrections, the upper aileron control horns with wire and pollution.
The aircraft is therefore likely to be completed by year end.

I like it Martin , having to deal with this many struts can be stressful . Your outer struts on the floats are really bowed . Is this the correction you are referring to ?
Terri
-
First thank you Terri.
Second it is a big probleme about the kit. The struts and and it holder in the floats are not correct. The holes for the struts and the angle to work is very diffucult. The only thing is to broke the struts out, work o it and glue again. The is nothing help to give a correct angle and correct length. There is a instruction sheet but the correct skins are in the windsock datafile.
Martin
-
Hi Martin ,
This might help ...
Bottom view profile measurements
Front strut 40.94mm
Center strut 44.12mm
rear strut 41.15mm
Terri
-
Terri thank you for your help.
I will think about to change this. The probleme that this length is not the true length and to give the right angle.
Martin
-
The Hansa-Brandenburg has finished now. ;D
As the last the windscreen, the aileron cables and once again the external float struts out separate, was shortened and glue again. Now they are at least just.
Here a few pictures. The others are in the other area. ::)
To all have a nice new year! ;D 8)
