Title: Knee Surgery
Post by: Mark on August 01, 2014, 06:17:29 AM
I'm currently recovering from surgery on my left knee with the associated blood clots, etc., etc. I hope to be back on Udet's VIIF soon! At least this will give others a chance to catch-up on the group build  ;D

Mark,
Best wishes for a complete and fast recovery. On the brighter side hopefully your temporarily reduced mobility will provide for more bench time, so it's not all bad!?
Cheers,
Lance

Here's to a full and rapid recovery, Mark.  Recovery time=Bench time.

Here's to a quick recovery. I cannot think of anything worse than a knee op.: I walk several miles most days, (voluntary work in conservation on the others), so forced inactivity would drive me round the bend (if I am not already there). Wishing you all the best and hope that modelling will at least prevent you from becoming bored.

Hello Mark:

I hope you have a speedy and complete recovery.  Take it easy and let it heal prior to engaging in any type of rigorous activity.  As has been mentioned, more time at the bench?

Best

Mark

Speedy recovery, it is painfull but in few months you will be running again :)

I got one of those knee surgeries 3 years ago (started building scale models while I was recovering) and my surgeon told me before the surgery itslef "The surgery is 50% of the full recovery, the other 50% are the good rehabilitation!", so get a good therapist for the recovery and do the recoemended trainings every day, no less no more!

Best regards,
Sasho

Thanks to all for the well wishes!  :) I'm two weeks into recovery right now and, while the pain is practically non-existent, I'm just now able to sit at my hobby table for more than a minute or two at a time. So, touch-up painting and further construction on my D.VII F will commence soon!

Ohhh, knees!  :(

I recommend, single malt, gentle exercise, pain killers and pillows, and more single malt.

Oh, and more modelling.
