Two excellent and exciting new publications Ray, especially the BE2 at war. With the imminent release of the Wingnuts BE2 series this datafile will be an invaluable reference along with the previous BE datafile.

Is that definitive Des about the imminent release of the WnW BE2 series?

Best wishes

It occurred to me yesterday that perhaps a BE.2 might be released on a significant date relative to the WWI Centenary.  Hostilities began on August 4, 1914.  The RFC squadrons embarked across the Channel to France on August 12, 1914, or thereabouts.  At least that is the date of the crash of a B.E.2 due to engine failure near Dover upon taking off for the Channel hop, resulting in the first casualties of the war for the RFC.  Maybe WNW will release a BE.2 around those dates.  Ahhh, it's so entertainng to speculate! ;D

Your thinking is the same as mine Bob, a release date of August for the BE2 is very plausible and would fall in perfectly when the first BE2 squadron arrived in France. But we have to bear in mind that Wingnuts have been known to drop a bombshell and release a kit when we least expect it. Whatever the case, be prepared for some beautiful BE2 kits this year, I have already cleared a spot on my display shelves  ;)

Getting back on topic, the release of the new BE2 at War datafile will certainly be a tremendous reference for building this kit.

Is the first one a Staaken?

I believe it's a Handley Page, James.

The release of the BE2e corresponds perfectly with my plans to do a Roden BE2c/Aeroclub BE2e kit-bash in the very near future.  When will this title be available, Ray?
Cheers,
Bud

Oh bring on the BE2s!. It could save me from embarking on the Roden BE2c I'd tucked away for a rainy day.

Best wishes

Hi Guys,

The BE2e is scheduled for September with the HP V/1500 due here in June. We have also upgraded the planned Pfalz D.IIIa Datafile to Special status due to the mass of new material we now have. :)

Cheers,

Ray

Wunderbar, an update for my beloved Hannover too! And then there will be the refs on the Roland C.II (my other love since boyhood times..) in your June WS  Summer Edition - good times ahead. Thanks for your great work, Ray!
