Just the common flu but enough to make me feel pretty crap, a few days and all will be well again :( :(

Nothing more common than the flu. Especially the things it makes your body do. Load up on vitamin C, lots of fluids and rest and get well soon, mate.
Cheers,
Bud

Hope you feel better soon, Des!

G'day Des,
I hope you feel better soon too! Have you seen the Young Ones episode called "sick"? Bud's comment reminded me about it. It's disgusting but very funny! I don't get sick very often but when I do, being quite a bad asthmatic it's usually a doozie! I hope you get much better soon, and you have my full sympathy. Being sick is not much fun.
Oh, did you submit your sick leave form? I bet you miss all that about as much as I do Des! ;D
Regards,
David.

Heck, flu is nasty old stuff for sure....sincerely hope you are feeling much better real soon and back to 100% good health.
Regards for a speedy recovery,
Martin.

The flu bug can really make you feel yukky. Take heart all your cohorts here
hope you are over it soon. Probably winter's last gasp. When they say drink
plenty of liquids, does that include Beer? ::) ;)
Cheers,
Ernie :)

Thanks guys for all your words of support, I'm sure that when they say drink plenty of fluids it takes in beer, whiskey, red wine etc etc etc... :) :) :)

But I trust you can determine the relative proportions of the various fluids as well as the quantities.
Get well soon.
Best wishes
Nigel

I hope you get well soon.
Just don't mix "those" fluids with any antibiotic... heard saying that the antibiotic loses the effect :P but you get the fluids one... hard! ;D
Cheers

Hope you feel better soon, Des. Funny how what we now call the "common flu", had a devastating effect during the era this forum supports! :o
I'm still battling the "curse of lost dexterity", myself. :(

Thanks for all the words of support and comfort. I am just about over the worst of the flu now, it ran it's normal course of seven days and with the help of antibiotics did not turn into anything real nasty.
