At Des and Paul's request here's the build thread for my Rolls Royce Ambulance. This conversion is based on the old Airfix 1911 Rolls Royce and includes a little bit of scratch building as well. I hope you enjoy this project and as always any and all comments are welcomed and very much appreciated.
The beginning. As you can see most of the donor kits parts were shall we say useless for this project due to warping. Other parts such as the body weren't needed and suffered from warping as well. Task one was to perform a little surgery and remove the offending parts.

Adding the first little details to the frame. My Pyro 1909 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost was used as a pattern for detailing the underside.

That's very good and an interesting change from aeroplanes!
I've toyed with the idea of building a field workshop to go with my Triplane. Only trouble is it would have to be 1/3 scale!

Greg,
Something very different and fascinating. What did you use for the canvas on the stretcher and also the blue sheets/blankets, they are very nicely done?!

I'm so glad you've brought this one over, my old friend. It was such a joy to watch her come together when you built her and I'm going to enjoy following along once again.

Lance,
I appreciate your kind words my old friend. The canvas for both the stretchers and the blanket are made of common kitchen foil. Tried Lead Foil first but it proved a tad bit thick.

A most excellent piece of modelling - great scratching and also quite visionary. It looks just the part and will fit seamlessly anywhere you choose to place it within a diorama or set piece.
Great job.

Many thanks to you for having a look at this long stalled project. I still hope to complete the entire project at some point as originally planned with two Roden Tripe's . Although I'm giving serious thought to add two additional Tripe's from WNW to the flight line. We see time will tell.

Hi Gregory! Your vehicle conversions are an inspiration for many of us. ;D Beautiful work and you explain it well as a guide for us. Thank you. It's nice to see what can be done with older 1/32 vintage car and truck kits. Your ambulance and French truck are first rate models. Thanks for sharing your brilliant work. :)
