Jan,
Well done my friend. I very much like your choice of markings. Is there a build thread posted somewhere?
Highest Regards,

Super-fine, Jan! She's absolutely stunning. I love the scheme. Did you use Misterkit paints?
Cheers,
Bud
PS- Jan, you should post this one here, as well:

Hallo GAJouette,
the build thread starts here

The only major bug to fix is wrong number of ribs on the upper wing (one rib more than expected on each side).
Some old pictures here

Thank you :), I used Tamyia acrylic color mix - random stuff, what was available.

Excellent workmanship, Jan.
What are these kits like? - do they fit together well, etc?

Very, very nice! Especially the blending of camo colours and delicate fading is my favourite. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for not seeing all the small mistakes. ;) The kit is definitely not coparable with the WNW, but not hard to build either.
Anyone even without previous experience with limited run kits can build it. There are just 2 issues to solve.
Lower wing has to be attached to fuselage on printed plans to assure proper geometry.
All the joins (lower wing - fuselage, wing struts, control surfaces) needs to be strengtened by wire inserts.
The kit has only one inaccurancy - the upper wing has one rib more than expected on each side (the kit was based on old Windsock drawings) - an easy fix: sandpaper, tape +surfacer.

very nice finish on your nieuport 11. your airbrushing skills are excellent. i like that the scheme had camo on most but then a replacement lower wing and elevators in the linen finish. i didnt realize that they had used a four color scheme on the 11. but i am not an expert on nieuports.
-
Hallo,
to be honest I have to say now I'm not fully convinced about this four colour scheme. Today I'd say that most of the camouflaged Nieuports had 2 color, some of them 3 color camo similar to the attached image - the only color image of a Nieuport 11/16 I had ever seen.

Very nicely done Jan, your painting skills really stand out with this model, the colours look excellent and your rigging is superb, very well done.

well the model looks very nice how its painted. i dont know if it was correct but in many cases we have to just use judgement and paint our models how we want to to make them look good. it is so hard to get colors from old ortho film. so what can we do but enjoy our hobby. i think it looks great like this.
-
That looks very nice, Jan. I've been looking at this kit and the AModel one. I think I'll get this one, as yours turned out so well.
Cheers.

:) Thank you. I have never build the A-model Nieuport, but joining lower wing to fuselage seems to be much easier.
Amodel has the same problem as the Special Hobby - wrong number of ribs on the upper wing.
I fixed it using sandpaper, tape+surfacer and HGW ports.

Hello Jan:
I think it turned out great. It isn't the easiest kit to build and you did an outstanding job. I wouldn't sweat the paint, you did a noteworthy job on it.
Best
