She's a beautiful looking model Des. Masterful craftsmanship as always.
In my eyes, the Hannover Cl.II is about as aesthetically pleasing as the Snipe, but they both seem to grow on me as I look more closely at them. Having just invested in two Snipes though, I have to restrain myself after seeing your build or I'll end up buying one of these kits too.
Cheers,
Chris

Absolutely beautifil Hannover, Des. The Hannover is one good looking airplane, in my opinion.
-
She's absolutely gorgeous, Des. Brilliant craftsmanship, as usual.
Cheers,
Bud

Here's my effort from the Old Kit GB. It's the Koster vac in 1/48 scale. Somehow, I knew that soon after building this one, WNW would release theirs. Sod's law.

Might have to give that WNW kit a go.

Thanks, Bob. It was a great kit and a fun build, but nothing like the WNW masterpiece.
Cheers,
Bud

WNW or not thats a nice looking model and a fine replica!!
Steve

Thank you, Steve. I really appreciate that.
Cheers,
Bud

You could build another, but I don't see how you could improve on this Bud. She's a fine looking old girl.
Cheers,
Chris
-
Thank you, Chris. I could definitely improve on the fuselage lozenge. I'm really leaning towards doing another. Besides, this is a IIIa and the WNW kit is a II. Totally different bus. ;)
Cheers,
Bud

Des and Bud,
Both of you have lived up to the Standards you have set for the rest of us :D It is interesting to compare the beautiful clean build by Des, and the perfectly executed weathering by Bud. Both have been rendered with great skill!

Breathtakingly beautiful, Prez! This is, without a doubt, your best yet. I love the scheme. In fact, I love every aspect of this lovely bus.
Cheers,
Bud

Congratulations to all you Hannover modelers. Truly these are all perfect example of Excellence in Modeling.

HI Bud and PRez:
Bud: I did a few of Koster vacs, mostly conversions, your Hannie really turned out well.
Prez: Great job on this Polish Beauty!
Okay, here is mine: I used the kit decals, I painted the fuselage using the Aurora Lozenge Templates from the '70's, blown up to 1/32nd scale and then over painted with the blue. It has the effect.

I really liked this kit. It went together well. A few fit problems with the cowlings but I think had I had more patience it would have been better.
Enjoy

I remember when you built this one, Mark. What a beauty she turned out to be. I'm glad you posted her here. You made me go to the WNW site to have another look at the kit. Hmm. My birthday's coming up.
BTW, are you still coming out to CA in February?
Cheers,
Bud
-
Aurora Lozenge Templates....... :(
I remember those all too well....... :'(
-
Hello Des, Bud, Prze and Mark,
Another gallery of beauties. What you people accomplish is really amazing. I subscribe totally what Gregory said. Congratulations
Kind regards
Patrick

Des, Bud, Przemol & Mark, I think the Hannover is a handsome looking
aeroplane and you fellows have brought out it's best. Beautiful models!
Prze, the wire wheels are brilliant.
Cheers,
Ernie :)
-
Thanks Bud, Ernie, Patrick, Aroth all the comments are duly appreciated. Yes, those Aurora Templates. Not a bad idea for the time, this was before lozenge decals and it was a decent way of representing lozenge.
@Bud: We are still planning on coming out in February. SWMBO is still watching for the price of the tickets to drop, but; so far it is a go. More info as it is forthcoming.
-
Mark, it is great that you dug out this thread with photos of your lovely finished Cl.II. It seems, that after the boom one year ago, triggered by the WNW surprise release, the build rate of this model dropped substantially. Pity, it is such an interesting aircraft, and the WNW kit itself is arguably their best - I do not remember ANY issues during the construction.
BTW, many thanks to you all for your kind comments on our models. I am glad you like mine, too. And I hope the judges during our Modelling Festival in Bytom in coming March will be equally impressed ;)

Des, Prze, Bud and mgunns, all very nice !!!

Prez and Mark,
Both of you have done such OUTSTANDING and BEAUTIFUL work! Very, Very well done!

It appears I've been remiss and omitted to post my Hannover here! Time to correct that:
It's the old Airfix 1:72 "baggie", corrected to the Datafile drawings. I scratchbuilt the interior and undercarriage, added a Miniworld Parabellum on a reworked Aeroclub gun ring, a spare Spandau from another kit, and a Choroszy resin engine. Decals are Aviattic, fuselage, wing centre section and lower tail are hand-painted.
