Hi folks, I've been busy building a model of the 1/35 Copper State Models Canadian Armoured Autocar, and adding three of their associated figures for the eventual display. I'd bought the model originally back a couple of years ago after seeing Steve Zaloga's wonderful build on it. But the wheels needed some indents in the tires, which Steve took great pains to add. After CSM finally released some 3D printed wheels with this detail featured, I bought them and set to work on the project. I modified the figures sightly to suit my intended vignette.
Cheers,
Gary

Never heard of the Canadian Armoured Autocar so I googled it and what an interesting subject. Really looking forward to seeing this one.

Thanks Alan, Edo and Andreas. I've made some progress on the figures and added a few details to the MG mounts based on photos of the last remaining Autocar in Ottawa, Ontario. These references also showed latches to hold the side-panels up, which I made from copper wire.
Cheers,
Gary

My vignette of the 1/35 scale Copper State Models Canadian Armoured MG Carrier is now complete with a bit of groundwork. The vehicle represents an Autocar from "A" Battery of the First Canadian Motor Machine Gun Brigade near Arras in April 1918.

Thanks Zac! I certainly enjoy doing the figures, and CSM seem to add some interesting poses for resin figures related to their kits. Still on a learning curve, and happy to have been able to converse with Mike Butler, whose recent book on figure painting has been inspirational for my latest projects.
Cheers,

I don't think this could have been made any better than what Gary has done.

Thanks for such kind words, Alan. To be honest, if I was to do it again I’d make the overall colour a bit lighter and add a bit more in the way of paint chipping to the exterior. I ended up buying a MiniArt Austin Armoured car recently, so perhaps I can work some of those ideas into that when I tackle it :)
Cheers,
Gary
