LukGraph plans to release 5-6 new models in 2023 and asks what our suggestions are.

Thanks to LukGraph for producing such fantastic 1/32 scale models!
And thanks for soliciting suggestions -- I would request:
Albatros C.XII or C.XV
Halberstadt Cl.IV or C.V
LVG C.V
AEG G.IVk
AEG C.IV
Albatros J.I
Best wishes and happy new year!
Jason

My suggestions:
Breguet 14 A2 and B2
AEG J.I or C.IV
Albatros J.I or J.II
DH.4 (Puma) conversion for WNW DH.9
Spyros

my humble suggestions...
Albatros J.I or J.II
Halberstadt Cl.IV
Breguet XIV
Hanriot HD3

Thanks for asking LukGraph!
I would love to see:
Halberstadt D.II
Vickers Gunbus
Hanriot HD-1
Junkers CL.I
Sablatnig SF2
Royal Aircraft Factory RE7
Hope I’m not being too greedy?!

Im assuming one needs to post to Facebook to get in that but I do not do that but in case they are looking the forum here mine are:
Hanriot HD1
Pfalz Cl.IV
Breguet 14
-
For those who can't access FaceBook.
January is planned for a Lohner type L model,
Mike
-
Anything AH is fine with me.
-
Whatever subject is produced, 1/48th scale versions as well as 1/32nd scale would be appreciated.
-
Haha
I looked at the Facebook people suggesting a lot of obscurities - how bout not a Fairey Fruitbat with Floats
some of the suggestions here are good however
I’m going to keep it simple
Macchi M5 (all scales)
&
1/32 AEG C.IV
The Macchi to fly against the Lohner
and AEG IV was a common type on the Western front not covered by Wingnuts ( like Dh4 and Breguet both good suggestions) and fought vs No 1 AFC in Palestine. There was also a ground attack version
I’m not sure why another company like csm hasn’t got onto the Hanriot HD1.
Or even an updated Spad vii or Albatros iii, although they are already kitted
Also following a suggestion above a DH4 - and the could also sell a conversion for Wingnuts DH9 kit - great idea!
-
I could certainly go for a Halberstadt D.II as well.
-
A progressively delusional 1:32 wish list with an AEF flair:
Curtiss Jenny JN-4
Liberty Plane DH-4 (-4B fuselage for postwar options?)
Breguet 14
SPAD 16
Dorand AR.2

Hi all,
Like many, I'm glad 'Lukgraph' are able to produce so many models of WW1 aircraft never before made and at such a rate.
Also another enterprise has already designed and printed a complete Albatros fighter with one side showing the internal structure using 3D printing.
That said I'm personally more into building components rather than having complete assemblies 3D printed for me.
However, I am curious to see how other companies will react to this 3D printing technology.
Using 3D printing and CAD designers is obviously a quicker process, hence 'Lukgraphs' 5 - 6 models a year in both 1:48 and 1:32 scales.
The overall cost of production using this technology must, in the long term, be cheaper than the the more traditional and costly injection tooling and manufacture.
Also it must be preferred to the pure resin moulded and therefore limited production models.
For example, many consider 'Copper State Models' to be favorably compared to the late 'Wingnut Wings' models in quality, but are not producing model aircraft in such quantities and in so many different types.
It makes me wonder if such companies will either:
1. Convert to 3D printing technology in order to keep pace with such as 'Lukgraph'.
2. Continue with injection moulding and the cost and time frames involved in that technology.
3. Not attempt to compete and stop producing WW1 aircraft altogether and concentrate on their particular niche models.
There is also the cost to modelers of buying so many models and whether there is enough time left for us to build them all :D
It'll be interesting to see how the general market will react in the coming years,
Mike

A good, thought provoking post from Mike above.
Nonetheless, I think a 1/32 DH4 would be very much welcomed by many. Another hands up for a Vickers Gunbus too.

Yes, thought provoking indeed. I won't make any suggestions as although nice these kits have proven to be out of My price range. Not any ones fault but Mine ;D I would add that in the end I only was able to purchase perhaps one WNW kit per year, at most two. CSM , and Roden offer kits closer to My price range but even those are limited to a couple per year at most. My problem not anyone else's. I don't know the direction things will go but at My age it probably wont matter :o

Good post Mike,It makes me wonder if Sir Peter thought these options through and stopped WNW.

Halberstadt D.II
DH 4
Gun Bus

I may as well jump on the bandwagon.
In order or preference:
Vickers Gunbus
Junkers CL.I
Albatros J.l or II
I think this is unlikely but a Junkers J.I in 1/48 because it is covered by Eduard and WNW in other scales but not 1/48!

Forgot to mention a Short aircraft and pretty much any one of them would top my list, especially in 1/48

This isn't so far fetched. Remember that WNW did the 0/100 and the 0/400 and had completed test shots of these models in late 2019. They were both at the IPMS nationals that year. Then covid came and WNW ceased operations. But those molds are somewhere, probably in China. And now we return you to your regularly scheduled programming...
