Title: ICM Dornier 17Z-2 1/48
Post by: gedmundson on September 10, 2022, 02:44:44 AM
I've always wanted to put together a model of the Dornier 17Z-2 from the Battle of Britain, and finally picked up the 1/48 ICM kit which had a few good reviews. I dressed up the cockpit with some seat belts made from soft metal, fixed the cowling supports (which are a known flaw in the kit) and added Master brass gun barrels to the MG15's. A few of ICM's Lufwaffe ground personnel figures were added for the final display, painted in acrylics.
Cheers,
Gary

Thanks to everyone for the very kind words on my bomber. Next up would be the ICM Heinkel He.111H-3 which will also be built as a Battle of Britain example.

Beautiful work Gary, the model, the figures and detailing, all magnificently finished. My eyes were immediately drawn to the glassed areas and the framing, outstanding job!
Cheers,
Lance

Missed this!! Exceptional work. Love the ground crew and the staff officer with the brief case. He's definitely been enjoying the local French cuisine!!
