The Formaplane vacu kit is quite accurate except the Rudder, which is too small .I scratched that from Plastic sheet, all struts are squashed brass tube and plastic profiles.

Congrats on this one. Note easy to get a vacform looking good and this one's a cracker ;D
How do you squash your brass tube by the way? I've found the very thin stuff is too small to squash flat in the vice so I resorted to hammering and filing
Paul

Thanks Paul! Squashing 0.8mm. Brass tn a vice works quite wel I think...it might help to put some 0.3-00.5mm steel wire in ..

That is a Stunning piece of work on the Vac kit! The overall Diorama is Brilliant!!

I entirely agree with the above - what a super model. And yes: more pictures of the overall Seeflugstation - I know that it is huge and a real masterpiece - so don't tease us!

Lovely! This is great inspiration to get into some of those vacforms in the stash. Thanks.

What a wonderful build, and a vac to boot! Also, great work on the figures, WWI German naval figures are not exactly easy to source. ;)

[/quote]you're right, except the few Nikolai offerings most of the figures are converted Revell U-boat crew and Pegasus Russian naval infantry, frankensteined together with Preiser parts .

Mathias, you can not only build wonderful models but also produce realistic looking figures. A great achievement as always with you!
Cheers

I struggle to paint one figure to any kind of quality, let alone dozens! Wow!
-
Thanks Zac and Jörg !For me it's quite relaxing to butcher tiny figures-the hardest part is to match the limbs and heads to the bodies, because each manufacturer uses different dimensions.
I've recently started sculpting my own figures for another diorama- I now pay sculptors of 72nd scale figures my highest respect.
