Title: Ltn Eugen Siempelkamp's Pfalz
Post by: rfindley on April 30, 2022, 12:23:36 PM
Eduard has released Siempelkamp's "Tatzelwurm" Pfalz as a weekend edition.  Eduard & Peddinghaus decal profiles show this aircraft with a yellow nose.  Pheon Decals show an all-green fuselage.

There also is a disagreement as to whether the upper wing surface was painted green or 5-color lozenge.

Any suggestions, opinions or other source observations?  I really like the yellow nose profile.

TIA

Bruno Schmaeling’s Jasta Colors Volume 1 Profile 49 (p. 199) & photos (p.197-200) show yellow nose with Loz on upper/lower surfaces of both wings and stabilizer.

Schmaeling probably is the way to go, as he derived his information from the pilots he interviewed personally.

Thanks for the reply.  I may have to step up for Schmaeling’s Jasta Colors.   Thanks again
