I guess it comes as no surprise that I've started with the cockpit. I simply love the wicker seats which come with the kit I think they look superb. Everything falls in its place without any problems so far.

Hi Filip,
Your cockpit looks very nice :)
I see you chose to replace the pilots wicker seat with your own padded leather cushions - that's a nice touch.
I've read that generally, the wicker seat for observers for some reason had a higher back than the pilots seat.
As such I have the wicker seats from ‘BarracudaCast’ (BR32234) as replacements for the kit seats.
Those are nice and can always be used for other models,
Mike

That is what one may call a quick start. I will be watching with great interest ;)

This cockpit is creating some "Wow!" effect! Very nicely done.
The finished model will be another beauty.

An excellent start, and it's so nice to see another of these highly-anticipated kits underway!

Beautiful detailing Filip, and the wood looks very realistic!
I'm looking forward to seeing this one come together.

Very spiffy indeed !

Another first class build - the wood tones are very realistic. Good to see that this important type is being modelled at last.

Hear hear, and as a long-time fan it makes me so happy to see multiple builds of this kit on our forum.

What beautiful work already! Can't wait to see this progress.

Thanks a million for your kind words lads!
The cockpit is almost ready. Time to glue the fuselage halves together. I must say that I was trully amazed by the kit's seatbelts. The metal is really thin and very easy to shape.
I've also painted the 3D-printed engine.

It's all looking very good Filip, and matches my memory of TVAL's reproductions very nicely. Bravo and I can't wait for your next update!

Awesome interior work Filip! Your engine is a beauty!

This is coming on really fast (unlike my 2A!). The interior is super and the engine a work of art.

Filip,
Outstanding! I really like the turnbuckles you used/made.

The fuselage halves are glued together and painted. Now it's time to work on some minor details and paint the wings. The model comes together pretty nicely. The decals (roundels) are super-easy to work with. They work like a charm.

The fuselage halves received the undercarriage legs and the stabiliser fin. I've also painted the wings trying to replicate the tranluscency effect. I will certainly weather them with both crayons and oil paints. More to come soon.
All roundels are the kit's decals.
