Just a quick built to check the overall assembly. I should have spent much more time on it....

You could have fooled me, CMG: this looks like a "proper" build! It's so well done!

You could have fooled me too! Excellent build. What would it have looked like if you had taken longer with it?

Guys, you are too kind indeed. I f you look closer you'd spot a lot of roughness
-
Looking good, congratulations. Let me suggest to use a photo hosting service (many free providers are in use by members) to post high resolution pictures.
Ciao

Well I for one cannot spot any roughness!
Your model Caproni looks wonderful!

Fine model all around.
But I have one doubt - is it just me, or the distortion in photos that I have a feeling that the upper wing outer panels have the leading edge bent forward in plan-view. Is the upper wing made of three separate elements?

Gorgeous Work!

Impressive!
Pity, but this bird needs too much space once build for my conditions.

Very Nice Build !!

Beautiful work ! I didn't realise anyone did this in 1./48th - who is the kit by ?

Saw one of these on Ebay a short time ago. Does anyone know what ever happened to Clay-More Models? The model looked to be a pretty nice first effort. Is there any other option other than the AJP Maquettes Ca.3.
-
Nicely done ! Also all 4 of their products are were sold out last April !

There are options in paper

The smaller cottage industry model makers can have rather short life spans - which can make their models incredibly difficult to procure once their issue is done. If another Clay-More Ca.3 shows up in the for sale threads I will be taking better notice. If nothing presents I may try my hand at one of those Maquettes models - not really comfortable with photo-etch models but it is kind of the only alternative at the moment. Maybe Copper State will make an effort ...in 1/48.

Hi Tony,
The Ca.3 is a wonderful aircraft.
There is a kit in 1/72 by Choroszy Modelbud, but it is not for the fainthearted. I am still very daunted by it so it is still in the stash. It is really just a box of resin bits. The instructions are very basic so you will definitely need the appropriate Windsock files.

And then of course there is this wonderful build log of Ron Kootje’s 1/32 scratch build:
