Just a quick update to show the current crowded status on the model bench.

The 1/32 Roden Albatros D.1 and the 1/35 ICM Model T Ford LCP Patrol vehicle still have a way to go but I'm generally pleased with the results to date. The Albatros still needs further detailing, decalling, rigging etc. The Model T Ford is ready for weathering.
Next build will most likely be Eduard's superb new 1/48 Sopwith Camel!

Great, Dave, and thanks for sharing: Both kits are on my „list“, too.

Your Albatros looks Fantastic Dave. This will make a lovely scene when finished!

Good work on both models. I hope it's just the Ford that's run out of steam and not you?! :) We want them finished and that Camel build started.

What a busy workbench Dave...and such great results of your
efforts! Really looking forward to the Camel build!

The wooden fuselage is really nicely done, I like it!

Which livre is your favorite?

Thanks for the kind words folks.
The wood effect is brush work. I use Citadel's Zamesi Desert colour ( from their wargame paint range) with an overcoat mix of Tamiya acrylic clear yellow and orange 50/50 mix and finally a varnish of Pollyscale Flat/Gloss in a mix to produce a suitable scale sheen.
Frank- with the Eduard Camel we're spoilt for great marking choices but I have to go with NZ Ace Clive Collett of 70 Squadron RFC, because I'm from NZ and want to honour some Kiwi pilots.

Your Albatros looks great. Yes, I join the chorus praising the wood on the fuselage. Looking forward to see this one complete.

Look great, Dave!
I, too, like the wood effect, so +1 from me. :)
I haven't got a D.I yet, somehow I still hope Roden will do a D.II anytime -I'd buy that in a heartbeat!

Dave, I'm curious. TVAL flies a replica Camel in the colours of B3889 as flown by Collett and it has natural aluminium up front:

But when Wingnut Wings came to releasing a Camel with Collett's machine as an option the cowling and forward fuselage as a kind of dark beige. What does Eduard suggest/what will you be going with?
