Final pictures of the 'Big Ack', or Armstrong Whitworth F.K.8. A very nice kit from Copper State Models and one that builds into a fairly interesting looking aircraft. I'm actually quite pleased with how it turned out, but, as always, there are things that annoy me and that I would do differently if I built it all over again. Nothing I can blame the kit for though.
The few decals I used, like 'Queenie II', worked like a charm, but all larger markings are masked and painted. I kept weathering to a minimum on this one. And now, when I see the pictures, I'm wondering if I shouldn't have done a bit more... well, another model and another time.

Again, awesome build! Makes me want to hurry up and get mine finished, but I'm a slow builder. Maybe by the end of the month. It is a great kit though.

it's an absolutely beautiful build with some lovely details

Congratulations on a magnificent model Fredrik! The finish is so well done and the details, and in particular the engine, radiators, and the Lewis gun really add to the overall quality of your work. A great effort!
Cheers,

Thank you for your comments Big Sky Modeler, Early Bird Fan and Lance. They are appreciated!
@Big Sky Modeler: it'd be great to see some pictures of your build, but don't rush it too much. Nice and easy is quite enough.
Cheers Fredrik

Stunning model of a lesser well known aircraft.

Fantastic results. Well, it would be fine to have one of these in 32nd scale...

Fredrik, I can only sign what Lance said and join the chorus of praise of all the others here!
CSM provides great kits and you made the best from it.
Thank you also for the build report, as I have not seen many of this model (ok, Des was the very first one building this kit).
Cheers,
Frank

Fredrik you have done it again - that is one beautiful build. Thanks for sharing.

What can I add? Only that it is a truly stunning model and that I agree with all of the above. I would have guessed that it was a much larger model if you had not told us of the scale.

Thank you for your comments and praise - Edo, Dave, Przemol, Manni, Paul, Rick, Frank, Gary, Stephen, Sandy and Bob (and again to all of those that commented earlier)!
Edo; Let me know if you need any references apart from my pictures. And do build yours, it's a lovely kit.
Przemol; scratch build one?! 😃
Rick and Frank; both of you also write very good build reports and I think they are more fun in a way than just seeing finished builds.
Cheers
