Czech manufacturer Kovozávody Prostějov (KP) have sent us preview images of their forthcoming 1/72 scale Sopwith Dolphin kit.

The kit is due for release later this year and we'll have more details when they are available.

Terrific box art of one of my favourite planes.
-
Great news! KP never cease to surprise.
-
I shall not be able to resist this beast. A good choice for a kit, I hope Eduard or Roden will take up the challenge and resume their 1/72 Great war efforts.
-
Here we go again the progenitor of this little beauty is off course C/Masters and a nice kit it is, Put me down for a double. ;)
-
Very nice! ;D

Czech manufacturers CMR and RVHP seem to be the main sources of the new KP kits, and they don't shy away from the obscure types.
Can one ask for an Austin ATF.3 Osprey?...

KP Sopwith Dolphin markings: 'RFC', 'Special Markings', 'Polish Service' (post war).

Great subject matter and one I'll probably end up buying and trying to do justice to. :)

Great news. But I am completely surprised by the separate Polish boxing. To my knowledge there exist only two photos showing Polish Dolphin(s). Both have the same (probably) crate as a background for the squadron personnel group photos. There are absolutely no hints to the markings. colour, camo - nothing... Also that lovely squadron badge is not at all confirmed, either... So, fully speculative schemes.

Oh wonderful news, Dave -
Can't wait to get hold of one of these when released.
Regards
Dave
PS - keep em comming, KP!!

The Dolphin has been released.
Unfortunately for me Artscale.eu seems to have changed their policies - freight quadrupled from 8 to 26 euros for a couple of kits since the same time last year :'(
-
Torbiorn, I have stopped buying from ArtScaleKit from the same reason, and I'm sure we are not the only ones.
I don't know if Ebay is your cup of tea (many hate them) but since the extreme rise in ASK's cost of shipping I have been buying KP kits (and others) from a Polish seller. His prices are fair and shipping from Poland is cheap, he packs well and is generally reliable. He calls himself gucio2001.
He doesn't have the Dolphins yet but he usually gets KP kits shortly after they are released.
Here is his offer of a DH-5 -

That’s a great tip, many thanks. I don’t quite understand the hate for ebay, and have no trouble buying from someone there, especially if shown reliable.
The three Roland DII boxings are also feleased and available at ASK by the way.

Folks let's keep this thread focused on KP's new kits. We have a board that deals with where to buy your kits so I'd suggest any queries re dealers and shipping etc should go there.,
cheers
