Title: 1/48 Eduard Albatros D.III 253 (Oeffag)

This is my latest build (and my first in here). It's an Eduard 1/48 Albatros D.III 253 (Oeffag) from the Limited edition box "Viribus Unitis". I find these Austo-Hungarian subjects very interesting. I built this OOB except GasPatch Models' turnbuckles and Uschi Van Der Rosten's rigging line. A small windshield was cut from a 1/72 car-model kit. For the first time I tried to create a plywood surface with oils (I did have some HGW decals for backup... ::)) . The effect is quite subtle but I'm pleased how it came out.

This build represents an Albatros flown by first lieutenant Ludwig Hautzmayer (FliK 61/J) in Ghirano, Northern Italy during summer 1918.
