Trying to find decals in 1/72 for the small hex cloth, with 155x200 mm hexes. I bought some cheap decals which were a disappointment - the hexes were way too large. Has anyone tried the Aviattic decals? Looking at images I got the impression even their hexes are way too large.
I considered making masks but the hexes are 2x3 mm in scale and there is no room at all for making errors. I have doubts I can do it well enough.

torbiron,
At one time Pegasus, which became Freight Dog, did a set of naval hex camo decals that were nice. However, Freight Dog hasn't seen fit to reproduce those if memory serves. Also, Americal-Gryphon did a set too, but those are long OOP, so evil-bay or some such is your best bet for those. Otherwise, Aviattic is the only game in town.

Thanks Guiseppe. I have already ordered a promising set of lozenge from Microscale that seems to have popped up after I posted the question (or at least I never saw it previously). I shall report back once the courier arrives (2 weeks and counting).

If you have access to plain decal paper and a good laser color printer, I have a true-to-scale file of 1/72 naval hexagons. PM if interested.

With the amount of research that Aviattic do I'd be very surprised if they are wrong. I'll measure them up for you later.

Just got home. The hexes, from flat side to flat side, measure a fraction over 2mm.
