Title: No 11 Squadron recognition markings 1916
Post by: 6992 on January 29, 2021, 06:53:36 AM
This Ministry of Defence site about No 11 Squadron >
https://www.raf.mod.uk/our-organisation/squadrons/ii-ac-squadron/

says that "1916 - Squadron's aircraft first painted with black triangles to act as a means of identification for friendly ground forces. This was then adopted as the Squadron's symbol and is used to this day."

Can anybody point me to any photos or illustrations which show these triangles as of 1916 - size and positions etc ?
