this is the very early release of the Albatros D.v, the one with PE cabane struts and a white metal engine; I borrowed a couple of Spandaus from the Dragon DVII, a Barracuda seat, kit decals, with the serial number from Wood&Wires. Due to my poor planning, there are a couple of rigging wires missing and a radiator pipe absent. Included is a pic with previous MvR builds; a Eduard Albatros D.III and a Dragon Fokker F.1

Very nice, Tony. I’ve built the early boxing of Eduard’s D.V with many of the same
modifications. Yours came out great.

Very nicely Done! Having built one of those almost to completion I know it is a challenging kit! Well done on Yours!

Tony ,
Your efforts paid off very nicely with a well build model . I like it a lot :) Did you hand paint these ?

Really interesting interpretation of the "all red" Albatros. This is a seriously good model.

Nicely done! Good to see another 1/48 scale modeler :)
The fourth picture shows clearly, that the Eduard legs are to short - in this picture perspective it converts a elegant Albatros into a plump whale ::) (that is not your fault; just to point out for others who wants to follow, what could be improved)

Lovely grouping Tony, don't know how i managed to miss this earlier. Nice to see you active here, I've been inspired by your Brother's work for years and actually met your Mom and Dad (before his passing) at the Nanton contest years ago. Am I confused or did we meet there as well?
Welcome to the Forum and BTW, great Call Sign, you certainly earned it!
Cheers,
Lance

Yes Lance, You and I met a couple years ago at Nanton 2017, I think. I had been visiting in Medicine Hat and made the drive up with mum.
