The mystery plane at WNW was the Hanriot. I wonder if they would sell the design work to Roden. If it was far enough along, it could be a quicker release.
-
Copper State Models would also be a great company to do the Hanriot!
-
Certainly a neglected type, would be very popular in 1/32 I think, and plenty of attractive liveries to choose from;I'd be in for a couple whoever produced it.
Cheers,
Dave.

What makes you think the Hanriot?

I agree with all above comments. If correct it puts to rest theory WNW were a no go zone for non - British/ German subjects.
Maybe they were listening in the end ? Or maybe they were getting round to it anyway.
It poses the question who might take on the Handley Page or Lancaster if possible? They were also a long way along- sorry slightly off Hanriot topic might start another thread...

Jamo, an ex-WNW employee revealed that the LeRhone mystery plane was the Hanriot. I suspect research was at least early cad cam may have been done. This could be an Italian, Belgian and USN subject.

Righteeo. I had provided lots of photos to WNW of TVAL's original restored Hanriot HD.1, some of which may have found their way into the instruction booklet

So that’s confirmed? :)

Sadly, even if confirmed, the project doesn't sound like it had got too far. I cant see Meng picking that one up but Copper State or Roden WOULD be a great substitute.

Sure would! Has Eduard said anything about jumping in? Or maybe Special Hobby?
-
I wonder if we could learn former WNW inside source how far the Hanriot was in development. If the pattern drawings were done, then for a CSM, Eduard or Roden, a chunk of the development costs would not be spent in R&D and design, but in purchase of the WNW work. Who knows, maybe the Wingnuts folks would sell for less than the cost to develop.

Not to mention landplane and floatplane, at a single seat price. So close . . .
