This is a non profit making forum so all donations will go towards building and maintaining the forum, the donations also help to cover the daily running cost of the site. I appreciate the support of the members through their donations, without them the forum would not exist.
Anyone wishing to donate can do so through the Donate button.

Those two [html] tags appeared when I installed the donate button, the button had to be inserted between the two tags, but they remained there after the button was installed. I have tried to delete them but nothing happens, so I have contacted Simple Machines and I am awaiting a reply. Thank you for your comments.

Thanks very much guys, I am overwhelmed by the generosity of the members on this forum, you are all a great bunch of people and have assisted me in keeping the running costs down. The forum is growing on a daily basis with new posts, new topics and new members every day, we are heading towards becoming the best WW1 model aircraft site on the net, and this would not be possible without the very kind donations from so many members, thank you.

The skills shared and the education I receive every day on what I consider my life long escape from the hum drum of life is far greater in value than any monetary contributon I could make. That being said I will continue to attempt to balance the scale.

No problem. Considering I spend $10-$18 on a magazine, $25 on a paperback book...and maybe a bit more on kits, this site is priceless. If there is a question or piece of information needed it is given here generously. That combined with the friendly atmosphere is all I could ask for.

HEY ALL,
I am so totaly new to this site that I have not even introduced myself yet. I have prior commitments befor I can start any new builds and get involved with new clubs, but I have been looking and reading for a couple of weeks now and I just want you to know that I tend to be loyal to the sites that I post at. So I will commit to a donation when I do the introduction and will donate again each time I use your site for the referances that I will use here. This is truely a great site with outstanding builds and a ton of referances.
Hang in there till get back with introductions. Thanks, RichO

Last year (2014) was a bumper year for the forum, we reached several milestones with the most important one reaching the 2000 member count. The forum has become THE place to be for anything WW1 aviation modeling related and as a community we are one of the most friendly and helpful on the net.
To keep it all going and to grow even stronger donations are needed to pay for the host fees, domain fees, ongoing daily fees to maintain the forum. All donation no matter how big or small go directly into the forum and website, no monies are used for personal use.
I want to thank all the members who kindly donated money last year and I hope that donations will continue throughout this year as well.
Des.
-
It is now August 2015 and the forum has been getting a steady flow of donations throughout the year. I wish to thank all those who have contributed to the forum this year and especially to those who have been making regular donations, no matter how big or how small all donations help tremendously, thank you.

This forum relies heavily on shop fees and members donations to keep afloat, ongoing host fees plus domain fees and registration costs all take a toll on finances, any changes that need to be made to the forum many of which members don't see all cost a substantial amount. I am extremely gratefull to all those members who have donated to the forum as it is their generosity that keeps the forum alive, please keep the donations coming.
Des.
-
I send you a little amount of money, hope it helps to keep this great forum running.
Cheers,
Manni

My many thanks Manni, your very kind donation will go a long way towards keeping the forum operating.

Hello Des
Just sent a little something which I hope will help in some way.
I haven't been involved much since the SE5 having been hopelessly sidetracked but I do pop in from time to time. I purposefully have not followed any threads so my apologies to fellow members for that but it's a bit like a kid in a sweet shop with no money in his pocket. I have been adding to the stash (Taube on order) and do intend to come back to WWI soon.
Currently I'm sidetracked on an elephant - no not the Martynside but a 'white one'. I bought a Trumpeter 1/35 aircraft carrier so many years ago. My wife has always referred to it as my 'white elephant' and a chance remark from a club colleague saw it on the bench - you know the rest.
Rest assured 'I will be back' , in the meantime I hope this small contribution will help in keeping such a fine Forum ticking over.
My best regards - Tug
-
Your very kind donation is very much appreciated Tug, all donations go directly back into the forum and your donation will certainly keep the forum ticking over.
Des.
-
My many thanks to the latest member to donate to the forum, his very kind and generous donation helps to cover the costs of setting the Website and Forum as safe sites, the SSL Certificates don't come cheap. You will all notice that the Website and Forum now have a safe green padlock, I have done this to protect all the forum members.
Des.
-
Another generous donation has been received this time from one of our newer members, many thanks to this guy for helping to keep the forum alive.
Des.
-
I have received another two very kind donations from our members, I am so grateful for these donations as they not only go towards building and maintaining the forum but they also help to pay the daily running costs of the site.
Des.
-
Again I express my sincere gratitude to the three most recent donations to the forum, 100% of all the money donated is used to keep the forum running at its peak and also it helps to cover the daily running costs of the site, all donations are much appreciated.
Des.
-
Two more very generous donations have been sent, I appreciate very much the generosity of our forum members, all donations go towards keeping this furum running and allows me to improve the forum.
Des.
-
Hey Des the Paypal button isn't working for donations.
Steve
-
Just up to speed. Understood now
Steve
-
This is a friendly reminder to everyone that our Forum depends on member donations to cover the costs of maintaining what we hope is the best WW1 modelling forum on the Internet.
There have been no donations recorded since mid April and as I'm sure everyone appreciates, donations are vital to the running of the Forum. Changes made late last year removed all shop and advertising fees so we are wholly reliant now on member support.
If you can assist, it would be greatly appreciated. The Donate button can be found on the Home Page.
