Even better than expected Terri. You really got the wood perfectly, however you did something even more difficult and that was how you nailedd the nearly white CDL. That nearly white CDL is the hardest CDL to do and you brought it off perfectly. All the details are eye candy and add as much to the overall realism as the wood and fabric. You took a seldom modeled airplane and set the standard for modeling this type. My 1/72 vac kit of this plane will just have to languish on the shelf some more until I can perfect my wood techniques :-)

What an eye-catcher, Terri! You've really made a build that will turn heads! Congrats on a job well done!
-
Pretty as a good violin, Ma'am!
Wonderful job on the wood, and there is so much of it.
There is something about Austro-Hungarian designs, a sort of steam-punk, not really quite of this world quality....
-
Outstanding! It looks like a difficult build. Paint job is great. Wow!
-
Well I'm not sure about it turning heads , but it does stand out on the shelf with my other little gems of art .
AH aircraft do have a steampunk feel to them which makes them addictive with their weird shapes . Over all it wasn't a difficult build but it was nerve racking while doing the rigging . Even though everything is pin it is still a delicate structure .
Thanks guys for the very kind comments :)

Outstanding results Terri! Like SP said, You have set the STandard for this Model. Wood, fabric, details and rigging all blend together to make one Beautiful Aircraft Model !

really top notch finish and wood effect on this one - love it!
-
Superb Terri, I am a big fan of this one!
-
A really unique plane due to the shape of the wings and tail surfaces. The wood grain and white tail really sets it off - catches the eye.
-
WOW, Terri! I really, REALLY like the wood on that one. It just looks so real. The control surfaces really set it off too. Don't know about you, but that plane has always given me the impression of being a flying brick but oddly cool (kind of like a Junkers J.1). I've never seen one built and now you have inspired.
Top notch all around.

Terri, you set a benchmark with this Lloyd! The air upstairs gets pretty thin ...
I really like this K.u.K wooden birds, well presented!
One day I will try to build this Lloyd, as I have boxes, series 46 and 82.
Cheers,
Frank

As stated by others... fantastic wood tones, great looking aircraft overall! Beautiful!

That must be one of your best builds to date Terri - not least because of the wood tones and the white CDL. You also provided us with an interesting and informative build log - in all a fantastic model.

Terri, the Lloyd is one of my favorite 2-seaters, and you've done a masterful bit of work in crafting such a fine model. It looks gorgeous! ;D Very well done!
Best,

That is really exceptional modelling Terri, you've been a model building "machine" of late with no detriment to quality and this is no exception! Great woodwork and the detailing is top drawer. One you can be extremely proud of. All this crappy rainy weather we are having is bringing out the best of your modeling talents!
Cheers,
Lance

Beautiful! Very fine rigging and realistic veneer.

Lance , yes ... and even last year in the summer months more time is spent in front of my bench . The rain is getting overbearing now . Haven't really done much biking either :'( So the only other thing to do is build models , which is always a plus :)
