Title: Bristol F2B mark IV
Post by: The_Magnificent_Squadron on July 02, 2020, 06:24:32 PM
heya
so im planning on building a mark IV Bristol fighter but ive no clue how to do the wing slats, in particular F4542 of Cambridge University Air Squadron.
my main question would be with the slats closed would only the recessed lines of the slat be visible?
the kit i plan on using is the Wingnut Wings post war Bristol kit

In 1/32 I expect there would be a little 'step' over the leading edge when the slots were closed, Sir.

In 1/72 I use a bit of heavy foil tape on a smoothed surface to replicate this, or 10 thou sheet sanded down a bit after application. It seems to do all right.
