Hi everyone,
I have just been accepted as a newcomer to this site. Greetings to you all from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
I build in 1/48 scale and I am currently doing a pair of Profipack "Hisso's" From Eduard using Pheon decals for two Canadian Aces from 41 sqn.
I look forward to the future and a new adventure with this forum.
Kind Regards

Welcome aboard!
I'm also a Wycombian, grew up in Deeds Grove area until 9 years old, then Hughenden Valley. I left the area 20 years ago but still return to visit the ol' man when I can, he's still in Hughenden.

Hi Ian,
Thanks for the greeting. Where do you live now?
-
I spent the last 20 years in the US, now in Abu Dhabi.

Hi Ian,
I am in Terriers near the Royal Grammar School. Been living here 17 years. I have lived in HW most of my life. In various areas.
How often do you get on this site, what are your interests?
-
You're very close to the birthplace of Geoffrey de Havilland then!
I have been away from this site for a couple of years but back now. I build in 1:72, current build is the FE8 in the vacform part of the forum. I tend to look through the posts when I update mine, so hopefully at least once a week!

Hi Ian,
Yes, I am. Terriers House is about 3-4 minutes walk from my house. I work on the Merlin centre in Cressex, so there is another aero connection there.
If your Dad is in Hughenden, did you know that a WW1 flying ace grew up on Hughenden Road opposite the Beaconsfield Arms.
Frederick Britnell, 3 Naval/203 RAF. 9 KILLS in Sopwith Camels. He served during the second world war as well, leaving the RAF In 1954.
His history is on WIKI or the Aerodrome Forum.

Welcome aboard, Steve! Although I'm currently building a pair of 1/32 scale CSM Nieuports, I'm primarily a 1/48 scale builder. I've got an Eduard SE5a started so I look forward to seeing yours.
Cheers,
Bud
